As many of you know, I am leaving my role as director of community engagement and outreach to accept a position at the University of Notre Dame, where my husband Tom has also accepted a position. I will be leaving UT effective August 31 in order to get ready for our move to Indiana.
I am so proud of what we accomplished together with the new Carnegie Community Engagement designation, along with new infrastructure and a growing campus culture of publicly engaged scholarship. I am also confident that this growth will continue in the years ahead, in large part to your own ongoing work and advocacy.
Vice Chancellor Taylor Eighmy is working now on the particulars of this transition, and will be reaching out soon to tap the wisdom and energy of many of you. I hope you will continue to support him and the many others on this campus who drive UT’s community engagement and outreach efforts.
While I’m very excited to begin the next chapter of my life and career, I will take with me many good memories that I will treasure long after I end my work at the University of Tennessee.
With gratitude and all best wishes,
