Calls for Proposals: Missing Voices Conference

The third annual Missing Voices Conference is planned for Feb. 16, 2015, at the University of Minnesota. Registration will open in December. The theme for this year’s conference is “Honoring Local Brilliance: We’re the One’s We’ve Been Waiting For!” and will focus on local talent, ideas and resources available to parents, youths, community members and educators/administrators. Students, parents, community members/artists or educators interested in inspiring, equipping and connecting conference attendees with resources to create a more just and excellent education experience for all students, we are looking for you. Topics could include anything highlighting a missing voice and rooted in perspectives of equity (i.e race, ethnicity, gender, orientation, class, ability, religion, etc.).

Deadline for proposals is December 1, 2014.
